Final Version:The Secret Of The Swans

The Secret Of The Swans

In the far away land of Greece; there once lived a maiden called Swania: She was a really good swimmer and she was really white like the snow. She was the best swimmer in Greece but everybody was jealous of her so they bothered her all the time. She was always lonely and she thought that things were meant to be this way so she never talked to anyone, not even her family. One day she went to the pond to swim but she got a surprise, there was a girl swimming! She thought she was from another land since everybody knew that the pond was where Swania practiced so nobody dared to go there.

Swania was really nervous since she had never spoken to anyone; she got courage and shouted to the girl "What are you doing here? This is my pond!" The girl in fear started shaking and she cried "I'm sorry... I'm sorry! I didn't know this was your pond, I'm really sorry!" Swania talked to her again and told her "Don't worry it’s okay, I'm Swania and you are?" the girl answered "I'm Rosalina, I come from Sparta: Thats why I didn’t know this was your pond!" they started laughing and talked and swam for hours until it was sunset. They both said goodbye and agreed to come to the pond every day.

As time passed their friendship grew stronger and stronger, Swania didn't feel alone anymore and she talked with many people. She had never felt better until one day; Rosalina arrived at the pond and waited for hours. She knew something was wrong and so she went to search for Swania.

The town’s people told her that they had seen her following a strange woman into the forest, Rosalina went into the forest to search for Swania, after many hours she found the strange woman in a dark little house. She came inside the house and asked her "Where is my friend?” the strange woman answered "I have sent he rout of her misery!” Rosalina worried asked her again "What have you done?" the woman answered "I’ve turned her into the most beautiful thing!" Rosalina asked her a favor "Can you send me out of my misery too?" the woman nodded her head and turned her into the most beautiful thing.

Soon both found their selves in their pond and swam together for eternity; they were beautiful white birds and they sticked together forever. These birds are the most elegant I know and they will always be together, and these birds are the loyal swans.
